Splashes: The star of the show here is the Cove, with its huge zero-entry pool, rock-framed water slide and spacious hot tub. An elegant river-rock fire place and natural materials, like oak and stone, heighten the sense of a rustic getaway. There’s a kitchen for those mornings when you’d rather eat in. The bedroom is upstairs so little ones aren’t disturbed if parents watch late-night TV. Rooms: A woodsy lodge atmosphere suffuses every room in the suites at Sunriver. A view of the Ponderosa Suite at Sunriver (Sunriver) You’re likely to meet families who have been coming here for generations. One of the nicest things about Sunriver is that for all its conveniences and amenities, which include an on-demand shuttle and a zero-entry pool, there’s also something wonderfully old-fashioned about the 3,300-acre resort.
